Youth/Adult Outpatient Counselor
Job Description:

Certified Youth/Adult Counselor - Bilingual (San Bernardino)

Compensation: $16.00/hr certified
 
Immediate opening for a adult/youth counselor at our San Bernardino Outpatient Recovery Center. Male preferred. Must be fully certified with State-recognized body (CADC, RAS, CATC, etc). and have two years experience with youth. Must be computer literate. Proficient charting, professional appearance, and mannerism. Experience with Medi-Cal a big plus.

•Conduct assessments & make referrals.
•Develop treatment plans.
•Facilitate educational & therapy groups, individual sessions, and core groups.
•Provide client supervision at all times. 
•Participate in case conferencing.
•Maintain a positive and supportive attitude.
•Maintain compassion, empathy, and professionalism toward clients; their family members and/or significant others at all times.
•Have knowledge of federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and standards. 
•Operate a variety of equipment including computers, copiers, calculators and fax machines.
•Prepare correspondence.
•Able to communicate effectively.
•Team Player.

Recovery Advocate
Job Description:

Entry level position open for recovery advocate at 120-bed residential program for men, women, and men/women w/ children. Must be registered (CAADAC, CAADE, CAARR, etc.) and actively pursuing education/certification as a drug and alcohol counselor. Two years experience. Bilingual a plus. Working knowledge of computer and MS Office. Must have valid Class B license or be eligible to obtain one. Clean DMV. Current CPR and First Aid. Professional appearance and pleasant mannerism. Must pass criminal background check. Must be off probation or parole. (if applicable).

$11.50-$12.00/hour. Must be flexible. Position is temp-to-hire.

Residential Counselor
Job Description:

Positions open for Therapeutic Community residential substance abuse counselor.  Minimum education:  High school or GED & post secondary drug and alcohol counseling (2-year) certificate from a recognized institution of learning.  Must be certified with State-recognized body and have two years experience (preferably in Therapeutic Community model).  Must be computer literate.  Proficient charting professional appearance and mannerism.  Experience with 3rd party insurance, valid Class B Driver’s License and/or Bilingual Spanish all big pluses. 

  

Program serves adult men and women in both sub acute detoxification & TC residential.  Some children reside with parents on site.  Must be off probation or parole, if applicable.  Must be able to pass a background check. $16/hr fully certified. Internships
Job Description:
IVRS accepts individuals for counselor internships through local colleges including but not limited to Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut; Intercoast College in Riverside and San Bernardino Valley College in San Bernardino. IVRS skilled staff supervises interns and assists them in achieving their educational goals.  Internships are carried out in compliance with agency policy and stipulations set forth by the respective educational institution.
