IVRS offers non-medical detoxification services to adult men and women in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. The overall goal of the detoxification program is to stabilize those suffering from the debilitating effects of alcohol and drug abuse so that they can begin the recovery process.

Detoxification assists the individual to cease current alcohol/drug use rapidly and with minimal discomfort through proper nutrition and care from experienced staff. Clients receive 24-hour supervision. The average length of stay ranges from 3 to 7 days. Individualized short-term treatment plans are developed to address specific needs.

In addition, clients receive individual counseling sessions, access to community 12-step panels, discharge planning, and appropriate referral services. Medical detoxification referral services are available to men and women who may require a higher level of care.
