Studies of recidivism rates indicate that a number of women prematurely discharge themselves from treatment to be with their children. In an effort to impact staggering statistics, IVRS includes a component where children can accompany their mothers while in treatment. Women with children receive all services as described for residential programs, as well as specialized parenting education and life skills instruction.

IVRS’ licensed therapists evaluate children in need of specialized services and/or counseling and make appropriate referrals. IVRS’ women with children program is currently the focus of a 3-year, $1,000,000 Capital Campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to accommodate the rapid growth of this program.
